Football Discount Cards Find Gold

Last month’s football discount card blitz netted approximately $15,000 for the football program. Thanks to all the players, parents, and especially the local merchants who made this seasons event a great success.

Rubio’s Dine Out

Coming up on May 28th at the Carmel Mountain Ranch location- 12002 Carmel Mountain Rd . . . Rubio’s will be donating back 20% to our football program so grab the kids and come out for some great food.  You will need a flyer for this night…you can pick one up from the RBHS Office or from Coach Elrod. Please download some flyers (Rubio’s Fundraiser May 28th) and hand them out to all your friends . . . See you there!

Pampered Chef Fundraiser

Saturday May 16th at 6:00 PM- We are doing what could be a huge fundraiser for the football program.  Barb Gomogda (wife Cal Gomogda, this year’s freshman coach) offered to host a Pampered Chef party to earn cash for the Gridiron Club.    She is donating her free product value and I am donating my commission so about 40% of your purchases goes directly to the program.  We did this with Lacrosse and earned over $700 for that program.

RBHS On-Line Auction

Rancho Bernardo High School’s first Spring on-line auction opens April 17th and runs through May 2nd. There are several great items that directly benefit the Gridiron Club including:

• Two sideline passes to each home game including admission. Not only is this an opportunity for you to see your favorite team in action up close and personal, it’s a unique opportunity for camera buffs to get some awesome shots of their boys.
• A 3-litre bottle of 2004 Kenwood Jack London Cabernet Sauvignon to celebrate another Broncos victory.

Car Wash Fundraiser

WHAT A HUGE SUCCESS!! We raised $1200 for the Football team and $470 for our Tour De Force Dance Team!  Thanks to all of the players, dancers and parents that helped with this event.

• Dine-out @ Chevy’s Carmel Mountain Ranch - April 8th. This is a big one … 25% of your bill goes back to RB Football.
• Dine-out @ Joey’s BBQ - March 23rd. Thank you for your support.
• Dine-out @ Graziano’s Pizza - March 12th. Thank you for your support.
• Wine Dinner @ Cafe Luna. Kenwood Vineyardsand our friends at Cafe Luna recently hosted our inaugural wine dinner. Wines from Kenwood Vineyards wer paired with the amazing food at Cafe Luna. A five course meal was prepared with wines paired with each course. The dinner was $95 per person and sold out! Sue Haywood, owner of Cafe Luna was thrilled at the turnout and donated $25 per person back to the RB FIC. Along with the raffle prizes that were donated we raised $1,000 and had a great time doing it. Both Coach Elrod and Coach Carpenter were on hand and were truly moved by the support! More wine tasings are in the works, for example, a “Walking Wine Dinner” where heavy hors d’oeuvres will be paired with wines from approximatedly $35. Watch this site for more information.
