Updates

First off, the Varsity team’s trip to Camp Pendleton was a success!  The boys had a very challenging but fun day with the Marine Corps, returning with some tired bodies but hopefully some strengthened hearts.  I’d like to thank Coach Garnier for helping to make it happen, and Tricia Greub for taking amazing photos.  Here are some of my favorites.  If you’d like to see more, you can find them at http://rbsports.smugmug.com.

Second, next week is school registration.  Seniors will register together as a team at 11:30am on Monday, then return to practice.  Sophomores, Juniors and Freshman football players can register at 8am on their respective days, regardless of the alphabetical assignment.  Also on Tuesday, all freshman will report to “Bronco Camp” at 1:00pm, which is an important experience for all in-coming high schoolers.  Let’s all make sure we get the Fall semester off on the right foot.

Third, all parents are welcomed to attend Monday night’s GIC meeting.  As President Adair has mentioned–it’s fun to get involved.  We need as many parents cheering and volunteering to make this program all that it can be!

And last, don’t forget the Parent Night at Neighborhood Grill on August 25th!  Let’s get amped up for the season and enjoy some time together…without the kids.  Entrance is $20, and proceeds from the night will go to the GIC.  More info is forthcoming regarding RSVPing.  Hope to see you all there!
